I use the Scott Silverhorn for now. Excellent release for target practicing, 3-D and what not...but for hunting I'm not real fond of the open hook design. Just a little something else that could go wrong during that moment.

I use a tru-ball Backtension release. Learned the technique while target shooting and I love it. For cold weather hunting I actually use a Carter Evolution because i can clip it to the loop and leave it, but for everything else i use the regular hook release. Just make sure you adjust the cam so that the click is gone haha..

Scott: In 15 years I have only had 1 issue and that was this year. I have a rope style and the spring broke. No receipt, just mailed it in with a note and a week later I got it back with a few stickers, magazines etc. C/S is am important player when I choose a product. No matter how good the product they will have a bad one here and there, it is good to know that if by chance I get that bad one they will take care of it.
