Good for you Jim.

Sometimes, with regard to hunting, we can all get a little greedy. We piss on the fenceposts and protect our territory. You get that feeling that you're doing what you've gotta do to protect what's yours, but you feel that little inkling of greed creeping into your bloodstream... It really is easy to lose sight of things.

But when it comes right down to it, that right there is what it's all about. Good friends. Good times. Good deer.

Anyone can go out and get a nice deer, but when you see a guy go the extra mile to put a smile on a buddy's face - then you're deserving a solid pat on the back. Kudos man.

I want to thank all you guys that responded for the kind words. I almost didn't share the story because it seems that if you post any pics with deer that are not approaching P&Y, some guys will look down there noses at you.

The two guys who I put in that stand would do the same for me. The funny thing, is that I never considered not putting those guys in my spot once I was done.

Additionally, I want to single outFran here forhelping me out as well and say thanks publicly. We've never met, yet he shared some valuable information with me to help in my quest for an Ohio buck. It hasn't worked out...yet... but you are aces in my book forlending a helping hand to a stranger when some guys wouldn't do the same for a friend. I hope I canrepay you some day.
