Starting with a PSE Silverhawk or Deer hunter

Just weighing options on a beginning bow, and these are two that are getting billing as equipment for beginners. I'd appreciate your feedback and/or experiences on these. I'd be pleased as long as they are functional. I should add that I intend to use it to hunt deer and perhaps turkey.

I have a Deer Hunter, that I'm looking to get rid of. Great starter bow in my opinion, just wanted to upgrade this past winter.

Rory/MO, I'll definitely keep you in mind. I would like to hear what people say before I make any decisions.

Anyone willing to give their two cents????

RE: Starting with a PSE Silverhawk or Deer hunter

First bow was a PSE Team Fitzgerald, which is the exact same bow as the Deer Hunter, just a name change. Killed my first deer with it. Gotta be THE BEST beginner bow you can get, especially for the price. I was a firm believer in that, so I went and bought my girlfriend the same bow for Christmas a few years ago and she shot her first deer with a bow (6pt) the following deer season. I highly recommend the Deer Hunter. You will not regret it, trust me.
