I guess I should put it in perspective...
 

I was just thinking about my season and I realized that I need to quit my whining. I was depressed about not shooting a big buck this year and then it dawned on me....I have seen 36 deer on stand this year, which is low for me, but out of those 36 deer, 24 were different bucks!!! I passed on 8 of them and killed 4 deer total with the bow.. After this realization....I will not complain anymore....thank you Lord for your blessings!!!!

Amen!!! I want a monster too...but am thankful for the gr8 season I have had. My own fault too...I saw Chuck Adams at the IA bowhunters banquet as the guest speaker and he saqid that he kills big stuff cause he sets his sites high. I also asked him if his wife complains about all of his hunting. He said,"NO...I am not married." I said, "Well, now we know why you always have a huge smile on your face." The guys all laughed, but the women in the crowd didn't laugh much.[8D]

Come to mention, my grins are huge now too..single life is rockin' for me.:DBest hunting in my life this year and having lots of fun, my wallet hurts my butt to sit on it as no one is bleeding it dry with fake hair extensions, fake hair color salon treatments, fake breast, tummy tuck, arm fat surgery reduction payments, toenails painted and fingernail salon fees weekly, a 5 yr old stepkid that received no child suport so I had to support him, and the lists go on. Not to mention the lies, cheating, and deceit I got from the ex. Yep...God blessed me and does so everyday. Big deal..I didn't get a 200" trophy on the ground(I still have a MO buck archerytag), I have my life back, Jesus as my best friend, and my sanity.

HCH you have had a wonderful season, I would be happy just to see one of the bucks you have passed up!! BTW, those are great pics you posted!! I have a late season trip planned to the mts of Va and hopefully it will come together there if not this week!!! Im just not on any real good bucks this year, oh well, i have had some great hunts this year and I have had some really bad ones, but in reality, 24 different bucks and passing on 8 diferent bucks tells me that I still have it !!!!!

Hell Landon, I spent over a year trying to get a deer in front of Rebecca, and you accomplished that on the first try in less than an hour and a half!

And heck, the fact that I haven't killed one down there with you is hardly your fault... I've seen a fair number of them, certainly more than I would have not hunting, which would be the alternative. And I greatly appreciate it and always enjoy the company... we always have a good time.

And you too my friend. We all take way too many things for granted. I believe I have heard that only 8% of the world has any coin or jingle in their pockets and most of the world goes hungry. I know that God sure blesses me each day. Sure, there are ups and downs in my life, but I don't have a worry any more as if God takes care of the birds that can store no grain, he will definately take care of me, as I am much more important to him than a bird.

I've hunted every weekend since Sept 6th and had one spike step into range, I foolishly passed him.
I saw one more buck out of range.
That's it!!!!!!!!!
Yes, I've moved around and tried different spots.
Yes, I have deer on camera.
Yes, I use scent lock, take scent free showers, hang and drag rags with deer urine,ect...
Yes, I put out corn.

ONE opportunity at a deer!
