You know, pictures are a thousand words....I just noticed the belt buckle on the guy with the beer can in his hand. I guess there can still be a chance, but...well you know how it looks.

Sorry if I posted this prematurely, but I was pretty pumped up. Salem county NJ does have a reputation for some real hogs, even in the 180's to 190's, and that's not too far away from Atlantic co. [&:]

ORIGINAL: stealthycat II

I bet its a Texas deer, and if it is (and by the looks of it) it doesn't have great mass, it doesn't have G1's or G4's and if its Texas, thats a 20-21" spread and main beams

Just my guess, fine fine buck, NOT world class
um im curios and confused. how does that not have G1's and G4's? looks wider than 21 to me

The people in the background look like they are in texas. One has snake boots on. Heck of a buck no matter where you are though

With that body style and just the length and spread of those antlers I would say Texas all the way. With being from Maryland I know that I have never seen a deer shot in this area that just has that look to it...

I'll tell you how.

First off, thats a 140 pound live weight Texas buck.

Second, the guy is pushing that deer out as far as he can - and the antlers on that buck is way smaller than the guys grip/hands, indicative of a thing racked buck.

Third, because he's a Texas buck, those ears to ears are what, maybe 14" ?

Fourth, he's a Texas buck, so eyes to nose would measure maybe 6" ... 6 1/2" at most i'd guess and knowing that, those G1's and G4's are not even that long.

Thats a fine buck, in fact a beautiful buck because of antler character and he's got a really good "look" to him.

He's not world class, no where CLOSE to world class though.
