Essentials For Your "I Shot A Deer Story / Thread"

We have a couple of threads telling us how to take pictures, but how about the essential details?
Be sure you have this information before posting your next success story.
Include: (presented in bullet form as ahandy checklist)
-bow make with draw weight and draw length
-arrow weight and speed (weigh the arrows on a scale and use a chrono, not an estimate)
-broadhead
-shot distance
-recovery distance
-shot angle (broadside, quartering away)
-penetration achieved (pass through, stopped by offside shoulder ect...)

Now that you have the information people want to read you are ready to upload that pic.;)

:D

Try to explain what happened as if the reader is in the tree with you, use your emotions.

What's next, the demand for the poster to use MLA formats only? lol

My2ยข would be to use proper grammer, as well as type in paragraph form the story segment. As soon as I see a blob of words I page down to the picture, then click the back button.

Hit "enter" every 3-4 run on sentances:eek:

Like Pat Curtis, if I see a big blog......NEXT! I could be missing a super good story, but seriously...

Hit "enter" every 3-4 run on sentances:eek:

While I do hit "enter" alot in my post, I hope that my sentences do not run-on, but Ive really never put a Ton of thought into my online grammar, I passed with a A, good enough for me, so when you see me hit the enter button in a thread, when theres really no need for a new paragraph, its usually just because I think, while reading, it's easier on the eyes, instead of clicking a thread, and it looks like your about to read the Constitution.

I too like to hear the equipment used and how the arrow/broadhead penetrated, how the deer reacted, blood trailing ...... every little detail I read I might be able to recall in the future to help my own hunting you know ?
