Cheating? Even joking that's a little harsh. Just look at what it brings out of the woodwork. (Fingerz/Pat Curtis making insinuations.)

I believe in making the buck the subject and the hunter secondary in the photo. After all, it's about the animal, not shooter. There's no trick photography, I'm not 3' behind the animal, you can see the animal leaning on me. Put the animal first and take quality photos. Besides I didn't take the pictures, blame BPBowhunter, I just sat there smiling for the camera. :D

Hoytail, your buck looks the same size as mine to me but dude, you need to take better pictures. [&:] Which one would you enlarge and hang by the mount? ;)

I didn't insinuate. I was fairly direct. When I posted my pic originally weeks agothere were several that sent me PM's and a couple that posted in the thread about how horrible the pics were.


I'm not a big fan of the pics of those who have their arms locked. I also said if others want to do it, so be it. I don't do it b/c I like mine as real as possible....and do the same thing with my muskie photo's. Way too many 'OMG that's a 55" muskie...could be a state record!'...when really it's a 45". It's over-hype, IMO.

BTW, I'm not slamming you Rob. If I were to blow up a pic and put it next to the mount, I would definately clean up the deer (blood off the nose/mouth, cover the entrence/exit hole with the bow, etc). I personally don't like makingmy deer look like a 170" 300# Iowa slob...lol. It would only let people down when they saw it in person.


Besides, I'm running out of room the way it is in my trophy room. Nearly a buck a year, plus several replica's of fish per year...has added up. No room for pictures...unless I take down my neon Pabst signs...and that's not going to happen. lol

Didnt know I made insinuations, just said that the camera angles and photo tricks really help. Anyone who's into photography knows how to use appropriate angles and things to make their pictures stand out and produce what they're looking for. As with any good photo they can make their deer look absolutely huge.
I intended no insults toward Rob, and I never mentioned just him. I was referring to the good photographers in general.

I shot a 120 class buck, and want to take some pics. Can someone show me how to make the deer look smaller so no one gets mad at me?
