What's funny is.....our gun opener was this morning....and we didn't hear a single shot within a mile (or more)of us. Word on the stret, here, is....it's tough going for everyone, right now. I don't understand it, really.
There's one farmer who controls most of the beans in the area I hunt. He owns 170 acres of his own.....and farms several other farms in the area I hunt. He cut his beans, last week. He left ALL the other beans standing in the fields. I have to believe he's seeing deer in his cut bean fields, right now. Why he didnt cut the others too....is....well...I think I know. It's just tough hunting. We've got one more crack at them before Will leaves, tomorrow. We'll give it a good go this afternoon.....and that'll be it. It's been a real pleasure, though. |

I'm sure Will's gonna tell of his own adventure in his own words.....but we'll leave it at .....he did get to add one more state to his quest.
We had a complete blast this week.....and we're already talking about some future hunts. That's what it's all about. I'll post up some photos as soon as I get them loaded from Will's camera. |
