Default NEW MATHEWS REST ON REEZEN 6.5 Something interesting

Did anyone else happen to notice in the Reezen 6.5 Gallery that they have a picture of the New Mathews drop-away rest and it is attached not to the down cable...but to the bowstring itself. at first i thought this was a mistake but it is actually done on purpose. That rest may also be worth an interesting look. What do you guys think of this attachment method? http://mathewsinc.com/bows/reezen65.asp#gallery

Unless it was attached to the string at the correct length all I can see are potential problems. It doesn't look like there is much room for error either but that is just me looking at a picture. Personally, I don't want anything attached to my cables, letalone my bowstring.

I don't understand why that is. Wouldn't that make setting them up more difficult due to varying string angles, draw lengths, etc.? Plus there is more lenth that could get messed up in transport. I don't get it.

In the gallery I saw it was on the downward bus cable. So Its not on the bowstring at all.

It is attached to the string... just not the part of the string most of y'all are thinking about.

This is going to work very similar to the spot hogg whammy. It is taught at brace, and since it is attached to the up stroking "cable" (in this case the take-up side of the string) it will come slack at full draw.

They were supposed to be shipped with the Promo Reezen's.... we got a letter instead. Something is still being worked on.

Look close.

Its the string. Not the cable. If the bow even had a control cable it would be attached to that.... but the ass end of the string serves that purpose on a single cam.

To find out how that works, just go over to Spot Hogg and take a look at the video clip on their Whammy.

Great design and I love my Whammy.
