Rob, first of all I want to say great read. With that being said, this is what I love about the state I live in. I'm truely blessed to experience what you did on that week year in and year out. You never ever know what may come down the trail next in IL. That is a fine looking buck you connected on. Congrats! Was this your first trip to IL. and will you be coming back?

Rob-Thank you for a great read and for some fantastic pis as well. I am glad you enjoyed your time in our state. Ground shrinkage or not that is a nice buck and you should be proud.

Next year you should think Southern Illinois!

Congrats Rob..

I heard the good Dr. told you of the tree I sat when I had my 160 encounter.

Andy forgot to mention to you it was October 12thish.. and that Hickory was a blanket of cover. I'm sure it wasn't when you were there.

I would have told you to sit the tree 15 yards closer to the fence line ... the one with the fork split about 16 ft. up. It was plenty thick enough to hide a man.

Congrats again on your Illinois buck.

Reading the part about your arrow sailing over your "buck of a lifetime" made my heart drop like I was right there and it was happening to me! It's too bad but at least you walk away with a "memorie of a lifetime".

btw- Congratulations on your poser Rob buck. ;)
