Missouri public land buck!
 

Got this guy at daylight this past friday in Missouri. Me and 5 buddies went up there to an Archery only area. 5 out of the 6 of us shot and 3 of us got big 8 points.
This buck weighed 290lbs on foot. Had to drag him 500 yards to the boat, completely exhausted but well worth it lol.
He came in smelling a doe that had came thru about 15 minutes earlier, he appeared so quickly that i didnt have time to range him. I guessed him to be 35 yards and he was actually 28 yards. Hit him in the spine and then followed that up with a heart shot.

Awesome buck, especially for public land. 5 out of 6 guys getting shots is really good. I'm guessing you guys will be going back there again.

Thanks guys, it was a great trip. We just looked the area up on the computer and decided it looked good and took off in the blind. We hit the rutjust right, they were chasing constantly.
