RE: This 2nd guessing **** HAS to stop.

100% full disclosure....is that I know I need to hunt the ladies, right now...but the best spots I have to hunt them....I haven't SEEN a good buck in there (nothing even CLOSE to what I'd shoot). I HAVE in the other spot....but I don't have does, there (in numbers, as I've only seen ONE while hunting there in 3 sits).

I know...I know.....ANY buck could be with the ladies right now. Tack on I had to get out of the hot woodlot. I could see it from where I was this morning. I watched 7 does enter and a small-ish buck chase them all around for a while. WHo knows what else was in there??[&:]

Just wanted to vent. I'm OK...lol. Sorry;)

IMO, it's all luck whatever stand you do pick. You never really know for sure when that big buck is gonna come by. If you one stand long enough, luck will come your way:D

Just because you have not seen a good buck does not mean that they are not there .

I guess I was lucky as far as compitition for a spot to hunt...couple sections private land all to myself. And a abundance of deer that have seen zero pressure this year...how did I come home empty handed![:@]

Doe travel routes or doe bedding or feeding areas. Thats it. This time of year there is no other reason to be anywhere else. If you hunt a good "buck" area, the bucks are probably not there. They're out at the good "doe" area. Wouldn't you be?

I'd go with the 'doe' spot. 100%. They'll be finishing up with one doe and be looking hard for another. And they sure won't be looking in a 'buck' spot. Even better would be a travel corridor between the two spots.
I agree. One of my favorite "buck stands" is a little funnel where a trail from a bean field meets a trail from a bedding area and then leads to another bedding area. I often see bucks crusing this little funnel from one bedding area to the next.
