My Grandpa has a problem?
 

Hey my grandpa has a problem with his bow or something. the problem is that when he has his one sight pin at 20yard the 30 shoots 2 inches left then the 30 2 more than the 40 2 more an on and on what should he do.

Either his centershot is off too far to the left or his sight isn' t squared to the bow.

He may be canting his bow. He may want to try a leveling device to make sure. I am assuming that he is using a different pin for the 20 yards pin which is shooting OK and the 30 yard pin, which is 2 inches off to the left. This would, as Arthur has said, through off the sight as it should be squared to the bow.

Actually, the problem your Grandpa is having is not that uncommon.

I have known, and still know, some shooters that just can' t fix the shooting form problem without screwing up everything else; to the point they (now) can' t hit anything. Sometimes the problem can be attributed to improper fit of the bow (draw-length, draw-weight, shaft length, etc). I have also determined that shooters that wear glasses sometimes have the problem.

Some shooters having the problem can strive to do it right on the range, but in the field, when a deer is in their sights, the shooter forgets to check his form.

If the shooter is consistently hitting the zone, but are just off in windage, and the off shots are grouping, I have ended up advising the shooter to adjust the windage of each pin until the shaft hits the zone, and forget about messing with anything else.

Does he have one of those metal releases on the string for nock and peep alignment?

I tried one and it took me while to figure out that was my whole problem with staggered groups from farther distances.

If not, try a level on the site, and make sure it is level with the bow and not the site.:D

Not if it is a metal nock loop on the string.

At the last forward movement on the string, the loop spins forward on the string. Affecting the arrow nock slightly, putting force left or right as the loop starts the spin, right at the same time the arrow releases from the string.

Left, right, left, right, center, left, center, right.

Took it off and it is Center, Robin Hood, fleching replacement, then I go pull before any more damage.
