I was sitting in my stand freezing my butt off tonight when I looked to my left and saw a coyote sniffing around.

Immediately I remebered a recent conversation with a fellow hunter on an article he read that proved how hard coyotes are on deer populations (mainly killing fawns in the spring)....

So I didn't think twice and let one fly. He went around 30 yards and piled up.

awesome! i have seen 3 so far this year! they havent come closer than 40 yards and i wont take the shot im not comfortable with, but trust me i was ready for him to come close!

I think we all should make it a point to take out a couple of coyotes each year. I'm sure eager to get one. Congratulations

Ya'll are more than welcome to come out to the farm and lace a few 'yote lungs....they have a warren not 50 yards from my early season stand.;););)
