If the action was actually down today then the moon theory is right on the money as the first does would be in estrous and the big bucks are locked down with them leaving the dinks to roam.

I was wondering when someone would say that, according to the moon theory, the action is just now beginning.

The deer arent going to just skip rut, they may have it earlier or later than normal, or not full blown chaos like some years, but breeding will go on. Dont forget guys, deer are nocturnal animals. Just because we sit all day and not see chasing doesn't mean it is 100% not happening, these deer aren't going to take the year off from the one thing hes been anticipating all year.[8D]
I've said since the 1st of the month this next week should be the best. I've always seen more action on a waning moon if everything else is good, timing, weather, etc.I'll definitely spend some all days this coming week.

I saw a lot of chasing last week (more bucks sighted than does) but it's mostly the PH Bucks.

When you see the Big ones hanging out in the open in daylight you know it's happening.

I sawlots of rutting activity this week.
But I was in a large area w/ acorns still on the ground. I think feed is the key this time of year.
A lot of chasing and does acting wierd. I think they were in estrous.
Scrapes went cold about Wednesday.
I never saw the big boys till today. (no shot though)
1 - 10pt and 2 nice 8's. Saw them at 1:00 to 2:00.
The 10 was with a doe.
This coming week will probably be better , but we're done here for a couple weeks.
