Past on a real big 7 the other night. Quartering to me.. I opted not to take the shot and I am still upset about it though I know I did the right thing. I hope to see him again..
Still, there was a little part of me that believed I could snake it in at the base of the neck and hit some vitals. Downside, no blood trail..
That damn voice of reason again...LOL...[:'(]

Given that shot I will pass everytime it is low percentage to say the least. I havea 180 class 12 last year 25 yards and passed on that shot looking back knowing I wouldn't have got another angle I would have been tempted to take the shot but Im glad I didn't

No really, congratulations on the deer.
I stuck to my guns, and hunted from Sept. 15-Nov. 3rd with my longbow. And now for two weeks went to the compound.

But looking back, I wish I had my longbow. I had a perfect 10 yard shot on a 6pt that would have beena great trad kill last week. I was kicking myself.
