Finally...
Thank god it's here...I have been waiting all year for this. It's the Illinois rut and I have from now until gun season to find the monster. Granted I already a decent 10 point and two doe's in the freezer, but from now until the 21st to hunt buck. Tommorow will be my first morning hunt of the season. I have washed all the cloths backpack included. Sprayed down the bow and all my equipment. I can't hardly wait for this.
So here is the game plan for tommorow. Hunt a creek bottom funnel that leads to a bedding area until 11...get down grab some grub and decoy a timber edge next to a corn field that wasshelled last Saturday. Right now I am thinking that the decoy should definitely bea doe with code blue put out....Any thoughts or ideas for me?
Wind is out of the SW tommorow and strong gusts of 29 mph...afternoon hunt out of a ground blind.
