that was from MN - just outside of Greenbush!! Just got the email from my friend's nieghbors buddy.

LOL, soon they will be from 8 different states! I HIGHLY doubt that they're from Wisconsin.
The Chicago lion shot by cops did pass thru southern WI about 6 miles from my house. They did DNA tests to prove it was the one that passed thru WI.

Why is that Red? Just because you didn't see them there? I saw one and I'm in northern Illinois. Is it really so impossible? There's plenty of prime habitat for cougars in the midwest.

A good reason why they're together could be that they're a momma and her 2 offspring (you only see 3 in a picture at a time). A mountain lion's cubs will stay with the mom for 2 years I think, till they learn to hunt and can feed themselves. She'll chase them off when she gets ready to mate again.

Definetly some very cool pictures.

These arefantastic pictures! The policeshot a 150LB cat in Chicago City limits this past summer, just 2 miles from the loop. They said it wandered into the city from a forrest preserve. There are most and more of these big cats coming into the Midwest.

Obviously those pictures speak for themselves, but I though cougars were solitary creatures. I'm surprised to see them tolerating each other like that. I guess if there's enough food to go around the more the merrier.

I'd be crapping my pants at every noise hunting that area come dark.
I see to half grown cubs and a momma coming up behind them. Very cool picture, but if I had to guess this came from somewhere out west.
