Default Veterans Day

From one vet tothose who have served and are serving now

Thank you!

It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.

I personally ask all to take 2 moments today. One to remember those who have laid down their life so that you may enjoy yours; and the second to pray for those who still serve this great nation both here at home and on foreign soil. Pray they may complete their mission and return to their loved one's safe and sound.

Then, finally I ask that each one of you light a candle and place it in a window to pay homage to these patriots.

Thank you,

Mark

Well said AF Hunter. As a retired military man I totally agree. I have a son in the Marines and a son-in-law in the Air Force. When I woke up this morning I said a special prayer for both of them and all the men and women serving this great country.

Every Veteran's Day, we light a candle and put it up in the window when we get up and then blow it out just before we go to sleep. When we lived in the city, the neighbors asked why and I told them. Soon, there were candles all throughout the neighborhood. Now that we live in the country no one sees the candle, but we still know why it's there.

Dave, may the Lord watch over your's and bring them home safely to you.

A veteran is someone who, at one point in his/her life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America," for an amount of "up to and including my life."

I had the day off and sat in my stand most of the day. Got to love the peace and quiet.

LMAO! I have a friend who lives there and calls it that. The other thing he says is it is the trailer trash capital of the world.

If you're ever in South Central Issouri, give me a shout. I live between Chariton and Knoxville.
