wild boar killzone

I posted this already in the hogs section but I know lots of hoglovers are on here as well.

I am still looking around for info on my first hunt. I found a great place to hunt wild boar in Croatia, culling animals that detroy crops. The hunting is done from treestands over feeders or gametrails. I've been reading lots about the protective plating these wild boars have on their shoulders and quartering away shotsis the way to go when on the ground. But if shot from a treestand what's the best point of impact. Any info is greatly appreciated.

RE: wild boar killzone

I've shot several from 12-15 foot tree stands. I wait for a broadside shot & try forreal close to the front leg & center (up & down) of body. Usually takes out both lungs& my shots are usually between 10-20 yds.. Good Luck-they are the toughest animal I have ever taken with Bow & I've killed Elk, Caribou, Black Bears, Buffalo & many other Deer species. This is one of 2 I took in Oklahoma this past June-went 30 yds...
