Enough time?

By the time I get off work, shower and get to the stand, I will only have about an hour and a half to an hour and 45 minutes. Would you think its a lost cause?

RE: Enough time?

If you're hunting for any deer then yes, if, however; you're looking for a good buck then thereare variables to consider regarding your hunting spot before this question can be answered. 1. Will you spook game that's going to be active entering your stand? 2.Do you have lots of other qualityspots/stands to go. If the answer is yes to question1 and no to question 2, then I'd say wait for a perfect situation. If the answer isno to qestion1 or yes to question 2 then go right ahead as anytime spent in the woods improves your odds for success.

This time of year, I'd be in a tree as much as I could. I've had bucks walk by while climbing with my Summit, paying no attention to me. Get out there!

RE: Enough time?

Your kiddin right? I go after work all the time when I only have anywhere from 15 minutes to 1.5 hrs to hunt. If I have less than an hour I sit on the edge of fields rather than go into the woods and disturb things to much. You should have done your scouting so you will know where the deer normally enter the fields you will be hunting. If your hunting woods I wouldn't go too far in, just to where you have seen deer feed in the afternoon. I shot a 125" 11 pt back in 2000 on opening day of ML season in the last minute of legal shooting light. Total time in the stand... 5 minutes.

This time of year, it pays to be in the stand for as many minutes aspossible.
