Arrow flying crooked?
I have a Mathews Dxt. I am shooting Carbon Express Maxima Hunters and a Mathews HDII rest. Why is it that when I shoot my Arrows, 2 out of the 3 times i shoot it, it goes into the target crooked like sort of slanted? And remember this im am shooting from astraight on position. Is it because of my rest or what is it? I dont want this problem to keep occuring.
For example. []- the block /- the arrow. Well it isnt that bad of a slant but its the closest i can get to it. |
RE: Arrow flying crooked?
I would take a look at the rest. It may be out of adjustment left to right.

RE: Arrow flying crooked?
couple things it could be:
if you are shooting into the same whole in a block target it could cause the arrow to angle upon entering the block. if some are going in straight and some are not then it is a contact issue if it is not a target issue. put some lip stick on the end of the vanes and check for contact problems. |
RE: Arrow flying crooked?
Could be the rest, are your fletches clearing? Put talc on the vane tips and see if it leave marks anywhere on your bow/rest.
Another high possibility is you're adding torque on the bow during the shot. Try shooting open handed with a wrist sling if you're not already. |
RE: Arrow flying crooked?
Have you paper tuned it? That could affect it.
