ORIGINAL: BigJ71 Well guys, it's been exactly 3 weeks since the operation on my back and I got great news from the doctor........I'm back in the game!!! Healed really good, no physical therapy needed doc says I'm strong as a bull, but hey we all knew that already.;)I have no problem drawing my bow (come on now this is BigJ we're talking about:D;)) and I'm ready to hit the woods again. I'm even surprised at my recovery but hey you don't get to be the "site bouncer" for nothing, you gotta be tough.:) Seriously, thanks to all of you folks who wishedand prayed formy quick recovery I appreciate the support and PM's more than you could ever know. I feel great, no pain at all and have been gaining my strength back every day, I really feel good. I can't wait to get back out hunting and I plan on doing so as soon as I get to the range and shoot a little. I'm sure everything will be fine but I want to make sure my form is good, it's been over a month since I shot my bow so I don't want to just hop in a tree without some practice first. I'm so happy right now, I thought my season was done.....but I'm back! (pun intended;))

John, that is awesome news. I am so happy that things are going well, not just cause you get to hunt, but moreso that you are getting healthy and making a great recovery.

glad to here your back in the game. Might work on some weight lifting to get more muscle so you can get better at pulling youbow back those things are to small man.
I mean dam If i had to fight you i would just hope the bullet would make it through all that muscle. Glad you back in the game. I know three guys who had back surgery one can not bend over one can hardly work and another still has pain. Glad it worked out. I'm really stoked, I went and shot my bow this weekend (First time in about a month).....No problems with either me or the bow. I'm ready to hunt! |
