Thanks to all for the kind words. A trail-cam photo of this deer has actually been my screen saver for the last three years so you can imagine the excitement I had in being blessed to make a clean harvest of a dream buck. I hope all of you can have a similar experience at some point. It took me 28 seasons so be patient! Now, get off the computer and get out there.....it's prime time baby!

Great story, fantastic buck. Seeing a toadbuck come in quick and then shoot it is tough to do but to have to watch a monster like thatcheck scrapes and feed for over ten minutes and still make the shot takes one cool customer. I think I would have passed out in this scenarioafter just five minutes andthe big buckwould havehad to come up and lick my face in order to revive me;-) It just goes to show how magnificent bucks can become if given time.
