Wow, beautiful buck and great story. Did it old school, just standing on a limb! Great pictures too.

Great buck Fletch, and equally great story! That's the second story I've read today where the hunter sat in a particular spot (for the first time-possibly) and scored nice deer. Man, that is truly a dandy of a buck!! Congrats.

ORIGINAL: btomlin

And who said you would "out do" your previous best this year. HHHMMMMM???

Wife tired of sleeping on the floor yet???

Congrats again on your "journey".....

Now get after "Top 10"!!!!
HA! Btomlin is making reference to the fact that my wife was out of town with work for a couple of days when I killed this deer. After the taxidermist caped it and cut the skull-cap off and cleaned it, I wrapped the cap in plastic and laid the rack on our bed in my wifes spot and when she got back I told her shewould need to sleep on the couch. I moved the rack from room to room with me for the first couple of days! I guess you could say I have been a little obsessed with this deer. Kind of sad its over but extremely lucky it turned out the way it did.

Ofcourse she never did sleep on the couch. I probably would still be on the couch if I had tried that!
