Default Taking Pic's Alone

Any ideas on taking pictures when alone? Before you say it, I've already read the "Take Quality Pictures thread" and was able to pick up a few tips from there. Really just looking for any other tips than can make this task not so difficult.

1. I saw the item from Savage Archery and am considering purchasing one.
2. I know about using a timer and then moving behind the deer.

What else?

Get a little gorilla pod thing. They are flexible and you can stick em about anywhere.
Always use a fill flash to lessen shadows.

Thanks rybo! Do most of the newer digital camera's have fill flash? We bought a new Canon Powershot, I think, a couple of months ago!

Thanks!!

I am alone when I take 95% of all my pictures. I use an Olympus camera that has a remote with it. I set the camera up on a tripod that I carry with me in my pack....I set the camera up on the deer, pose with the deer, take a few shots and check them out and adjust from there. I take my best pictures when I am alone...maybe I am not rushed and I get the shots that I want. I have taken close to 100 shots of an animal to make sure I get the ones that I want!

Yea, basically just put the flash on, even if the auto setting doesn’t call for it. Try it both ways, depending on the sun angle & stuff, you may not need it, but always try it to see it if improves the picture.
