Shoot a flare through his front window...... No more problems....
You better delete this posts, Pal .......
funny huh? The guy is doing nothing more than protecting his property yet now it's OK to burn his house down, flatten his tires, threaten him,..................

And folks wonder why this guy has a dim view of hunters .
Hmmm, it seems we are lacking some perspective here. We are talking about a deer, right? So that deer, as much as I love and respect the animals, is worth a human life. Don't think so.

This BMW guys sounds like a real douche, but he is simply upholding his rights as a landowner. We always have fear that our rights as hunters will be taken away, so we cannot trample on his rights regardless of the kind of person he is.

Twil, your situation really sucks man. I'm sorry to hear you lost that buck. What I would do in the future, and have done in the past is build a natural barrier on the edge of the property you have permission on in the off season that will funnel deer away from the border and make it difficult for deer to get to his land. By fall they will have adjusted their patterns and you will have saved yourself the headache of having to deal with this again.

Good luck.

Well sounds like Pa is pretty much like Mo. I forgot about this. If he doesn't keep possesion of the deer he doesn't need a tag or permit. Jim is right in that fact. True it might be the moral or ethical thing to let him get his deer but not alot of people have these anymore.
If he just threw it in a ditch somewhere than permit laws wont do any good.

Just build one of these next summer. This should keep all those trespassing deer off his property as well.

Update is...I seen 9 buck from this stand in 2 sittings this week! i will be on the stand in the a.m. I am not giving up. This was the 1st deer to ever run in his yard! Usually they run down thru the woods and cross over his property and I never have a problem cause I go around his land. I did have a few die down at the creek (on his land) down over the hill away from his house I just grab them and drag them over to my land! I have all the right in the world to be where I am at! As for the deer I have no idea what he did with it? The authorities have my number and they never called so they don't have it or I would of got it! I will call them today and ask them about him moving the deer, but I ask the game warden I said So that deer is gonna go to waste he said yep i assume so, he has to give me permission to get it!
So, you make it a habit to trespass on this guys land to recover deer and yet, when he busts you trying to trespass youcome here and cry about . And now you are going to do the same thing again . Suppose the deer dies in his front yard again are you going to come here and cry likebaby then? YOU are the only one doing anything wrong in this/these situations yet you want to make this landowner out to be the bad guy? Talk about setting yourself up for failure . You even say you will put your friends in this stand. What if they shoot a deer and that deer dies int heguys front yard and he doesn't allow a recovery. Now you set your friends up for failure . Do you live in the ****ing twilight zone?
I have to say I agree with bruce on this. You basically set yourself up for disappointment. You have trespassed on his land multiple times and he is the bad guy. You know he does not like hunting and yet you continue the poor behavior.

It does suck that you lost your deer...but he did nothing illegal in this situation.

Quite frankly, i am disspointed in the number of poeple that have said they would trespass or pay your fines for trespassing or suggesting means of payback.

Maybe it is time to man up, knock on his door and discuss the situation in a calm manner and see what can be done to help out the situation for future hunts.

I'm glad Iowa has retreival laws which allow you unarmed access onto private property to retrieve a dispatched animal which has expired there.

I would have tried to make peace with the landowner of the land right next to my hunting spot ....

And to everyone else who wrote something to the affect of
talk to him nicely and try to work out a compramise as best you can
Let me tell you this...

You are projecting your morals, values, and consideration for your fellow manonto this douche. There is no reasoning with savages ok?Savages don't have to possess machine guns and be responsible for roadside bombings to be savages. They can be doctors, lawyers, or the neighbor who drives a BMW. People are people. These types of people couldn't givea flying fudge about you and your feelings on the subject. They've already made a conscious decision to be a prick. In this particular case, the prick already made a conscious decision to deny Tim the deer seemingly for mere spiteknowing how simple, neighborly, and human it would be to just allow him the 2min to remove his deer.

This thread is really about how there's no changing the ugliness in some people's hearts.

So if you decide someone is a "savage" or their motivations are not yours, it is fine to knowing break the law in a continuing manner?[:'(]
