Fine Wisconsin buck

Found this on bloodbro.com and this is the same county as my parents. (Richland County)
It looks like I will not be able to get out there for a bow hunt. Have not heard of a score yet.

Yea it's ok.........[8D]

Not suprised with the size of the rack knowing where it came from. Seems like EAB is working to some degree, and the results seem to be spreading East.

Great buck tho. Congrats to the hunter.

Only thing I will say is "great use of camera's distance with the location of the hunter near the deer's arse."

Nice buck!

Dandy buck no doubt. wonder what it actually will score, if he wasn't sitting 6 feet behind it and it still looked like that, it would be a 300" typical!

That is one hog of a deer no doubt, but I have to agree with some of the other comments already made.

When it is obvious that the camera angle and settings were deliberately set to make the buck look even bigger, you (at least I) become a little skeptical about just how big he really is versus manipulative photography making him seenm that way.

That's trully a hawg, but the pic does mislead to his true size.

I envy you Wisconsin folks! One of my favorite states to hunt In as well, fairly decent NR license for the price compared to other states.

That's a great buck there T. That's what dreams are made of!

Agree with the rest. The deer is big enough he didn't need any 'zoom lense with the hunter three fet behind his antlers' shot. The stick propping up his head is a nice touch. [&:] Dandy buck though. Once in a lifetime for sure!

Nice buck no doubt, Jarod and his crew have killed osme freakin mosters the last few years. I think Jarod hasd one either over 180" or 200" last year.

Very nice deer but come on now. Its one thing to hold the rack in your hands and have your arms extended towards the camera but please. There should be a rule against proping the head up and sitting back behind the deer. It makes a 170's type deer look more like a 270's type deer. My hats off to the guy who shot it, but if it is truly a big deer there is no need to do some camera tricks like that.

I'm gonna take a stab at the score as that cameratrickery don't completely fool me. I know that a big old mature buck is about 20" ear to ear. Using that guage, I measured everything else up against that base number. Here's what I come up with:

IS- 24
MB- 24 and 24 for extreme benefit of doubt

G1- 5 and 6
G2- 12, 12
G3- 14, 14
G4- 12, 12

H1- 6, 6
H2- 5, 5
H3- 4, 4
H4- 3, 3

Total 195" absolute max even though that sucker looks way bigger.

173................... the pic is decieving. The guy has it's neck proped up and is sitting way in the back. Great buck though.

Usually an ear is about 6 inches.

See now that would lower my guess altogether because I figured 7inches an ear plus 6 for the head. Allow me to recalculate:

... 181 absolute max

I do agree with the camara angle making the deer look bigger than he is....regardless, beautiful buck.

I know that's a monster, but I hate, HATE when people take those pics where the hunter is so far behind the deer to TRY to make the deer look bigger!!!! Unless that bucks HEAD is as big as that guys torso, it's not as big as the picture is trying to DECEIVE people into believing. [:@]

X2 its a nice buck but come on its not any bigger because you take a picture sitting beind the back end of the deer. The is the Chuck Adams shot and its stupid. It just like holding the deer waaaay out as far as you can and taking a pic, that doesn't fool me either.

This buck is probably 160ish at best IMO maybe slightly more. But his camera trick makes it hard to tell.

Good buck crappy photography
