Default Couple Bruisers Taken Here in VA

Hey guys, not sure whether these bucks were taken with a muzzleloader or a bow but given their size I thought I'd share them with you all. They were both taken in the Alleghany County area of Virginia. The top one FIELD DRESSED 190lbs and the bottom one has an amazing double main beam. I don't think the picture for the bottom one really does it justice as it is taken from so far up above. Anyways, enjoy and Go Vote!

Yeah I have about 7 on my cell phone that I have received this past week....Including a main frame 6 pointer that will go every bit of 130. which was killed by a hometown boy that 4 years ago killed another main frame 6 that went close to 145. same area for both.....so definately same genitics.

I finally got to lay my eyes on my big buck that I have been hunting for the last 2 years but he still didn't get close enough for a shot. But definately 170ish material......I about fell out of my stand when I saw him coming up the hill.

Between the typical 10 that I tracked all night last Wednesday and the bruiser I killed Saturday, Im stoked about the size deer for my area this year. I havent seen those caliber deer in the same week since Ive hunted this area.

I do have some junk running around though. It just seems like since the rut started up the big boys want the first choices. As soon as gun season starts they will disappear.

So far its been a good season for me...less a lost tracking job. Just hope it continues until at least after muzzleloader season.

Close. Alleghany borders Rockbridge, Bath, Botetourt, Craig and the WVa/Va. border. Actually just a hop skip and a jump (45 minutes) from Roanoke.

The double main is cool, but my vote goes for the top bruiser. Gotten love the mega-mass on that one!
