Scent-Lok or Scent-Blocker????
 

Just wondering which one of these you perfer??? I am wanting to buy me some type of scent control camo and need some help deciding!!!

Save your money, buy a good pair of knee high rubber boots instead to cut thescent trial you leave in the woodsand plan your entry into your stand with the wind in mind. Try to spook as fewdeer as possible entering and exiting your stand and never hunt a stand when your wind is blowing into the area you're hunting. Also, most guys overhunt stands way too much. Diversify stand locations and try to hunt them sparsely with longperiods of restbetweenvists. That's the best scent control strategy you can employ.

I'm sure this will open up a can of worms, but I don't use either, and will not. I believe the stuff is a gimmick. Carbon does absorb odor, but I don't think carbon based clothing can absorb enough of it to be effective, at least not for very long.

Here is something I'd like to know about this stuff. If it does in fact absorb odor so well.....does that mean that when I buy it, its already half aborbed? It's hanging on the racks at every sporting goods store you walk into. People are walking buy it, some wearing colognes and perfums, touching it, trying it on, etc. I would think that it would need to be in a sealed package to be considered "fresh".

In my opinion, save your money and buy a good set of warm, comfortable clothes and hunt the wind. I believe you'll be further ahead.

I have never used either one, but I would have to go with Scent Blocker because it is made in Minnesota. Right now, I just hang my camo outside the night before.

They are both really good products. I happen to prefer Scentblockers structure better and the bells and whistels it comes with.

Since I became a scent nut, I still have yet to be fully busted by a deer in scentclothing, with all the extras, boots, spray, etc. I have had deer become edgy downwind, but never busted as before I started using. I honestly, don't worry too much about the wind direction most of the time. To each their own I guess.

Scent Blocker's jackets all have an arm gaurd built it.

i can't count how many times a deer has walked directly down wind of me within 20 yards as i was standing on the ground andeveryonce in a while one will catch a little sent and lift his nose, but most don't even know. i am a die hard sent loc user. i use the "dream season" edition.

the biggest addition i could say to go with sent loc is to use some kind of mouth spray or gum to mask your mouth odor. 75% of your odor comes from your mouth. i spray my mouth every 15-30 minutes in the woods.

I prefer Scent-Blocker, but both make quality products. I have the Scent-Lok Base Layers, and those are very comfortable and nice. I wear Scent-Blocker outerwear, I have the Road Trips suit. I have to say im very impressed and like the Road Trips suit a lot. It is very comfortable, extremely quiet, and has a lot of perks for bowhunters such as adjustments for the upper body and a lot of pockets. Both are good but i think Scent-Blocker has more features.

Here we go again...Well I needed some new outer camo this year and decided to get a scentloc overall. It was on sale and I ordered it online, it was not that much more than a regular overall. Now i try to practice good scent control as it is, but since using this I have had numerous deer within 10-20 yards downwind and have yet to get busted. Is it only because of the scentloc, probably not, did it help some? who knows. Like I said before it's not like I spent the money just for the hell of it.

I wear scent-lok, but would suggest looking into medalist camo. It uses silver which is proven to kill odor causing bacteria.
