That is just amazing! Has anyone heard a green score yet? IMO, I do not think it will top Hansen's buck, but who knows until you get a tape on it.

I'd guess not even a state record. It's got wayyyy too many non-typ points to even score typical.

I'd guesstimate that rack at 220 range for total gross score...but who knows.

According to the one article, he first didn't realize it was that particular buck he'd shot, probably a good thing he didn't know what was walking towards him. That truly is a once-of-a-lifetime animal.

Congrats, I am so happy a local killed the buck of a lifetime and not someone hunting with an outfitter. I just had a bad feeling he was going to get poached, hit by a car, or paid for by some rich out of stater hunting with an outfitter.

x2 It is really nice to see such a highly publicized deer get taken by a local. Every year we get a couple really big ones taken by locals in my general area (Sauk, Columbia, Adams county region) but none of them ever get recognition for it. It's nice to see this guy get a few minutes in the spot light.
