GregH, when I first found the buck I have to admit to be disappointed. Not with the buck, but with myself for allowing myself to be such a poor judge at the heat of the moment on rack size. But quickly I realized I respected that animal for being what he is, and that he died swiftly and will not be wasted. I just am adamant now with one buck tag left, I will not shoot another buck this season unless he meets a certain standard that I will make myself adhere to.

Thanks TeeJay,TexasBowHunter, Walleyefever, mofireman, bowhuntn87, jim1966, WV Hunter, 1shotkill1993, txmarshmonkey.

Planter, I hope you do well tomorrow too!

peakrut, I owe my fatherinlaw forever for introducing me to bowhunting......its been a great ride so far.

HuntingBry, yeah I am known to oversleep sometimes.

Thanks teamates Mauser and MGH PA......you guys are next!

Rob, after reading you great stories of your hunts I realized that you put your heart into telling how they went. Putting into words the moments as they happen to share with others is a good feeling. Your bucks still have more character than most!

Thank you BigJ71 and I hope your recovery is advancing well.

I know exactly how you feel. I had that happen.....once. I was so dissappointed in myself for not appreciating a decent buck I had just shot, I vowed that it would not happen again. It hasn't. Anything that dies by my hand demands my respect and gets it.

I've been happy ever since!

Well said GregH.

Cougar Mag, thanks for those words. I do love to tell of the hunt. I hope I do it justice. You sure did on yours. I enjoyed it.
