On a good shot about an hour. If its an excellent shot. I will start looking as soon as I get out of the tree. I usually get out of the tree find blood. Then, go to the camp change clothes anput my gear upget something to snack on for a few minutes an get mydeer cart an go back to the spot.
I try to take no more thantwo other people with me. One to mark the spot an the other to help look for blood.
If its a bad shot normally I'm wanting to pull my hair out. I will wait about five hours or maybe more. Depends on the weather, time of day, coyotes an etc.

I usually wait around 2 hours if I KNOW it's a GOOD shot! I'll take my stand down and back to the truck, I'll also get rid of anything that will weigh me down for the drag out! I have a cleaning pac that I take in the woods when tracking/field dressing my deer, makes things easier as I like to go with bare minimum while hunting!

If I see that it is a good shot and/or see the deer drop I go after it right away. If it is an iffy shot I may wait anywhere from 2 -24 hrs.

it depends on the situation. Usually it takes me 30 minutes to pack up climb down ,pack the climber and gear, then go examine the arrow. so at least a 1/2 hour. sometimes i go back to the truck first to get rid of stuff then go track . so then 45 - 60 min

The birthday buck I shot last week...I double lunged him. I was sure I put a great shot on him...so I waited a ½ hour and got down. I saw great blood....but didn't want to take any chances. I walked to my truck...made some calls...and then went back looking for him. Really he went down about the time I lost sight of him from my treestand...but I didn't know that at the time. Shot him at 8am, eventually took up the blood trail and found him roughly 10am 70 yards from my stand.. By that time, he was stiff as a rock.

I've only racked up a single bowkill, but I heard her do a death dance right over a burm just out of sight, so I walked right up to the body immediately.
From what I've read, It really depends on the kill. No two kills would warrant the same time waited.

So to answer your question; anywhere from immediately to overnight.
