Did you run your hands in the wound of the deer?
Lol way much blood n you mate... Nice Deer BTW !
It was cold that morning...took my time in the warmth of his blood! JK I had just gutted him and hadnt washed up yet for the hero shot. Not sure what your hands look like after gutting a 200# plus deer, but didnt have any rubber loves handy!

Thanks for the compliment! It sure took the pressure off for week or so. Hell, I was back up in a tree lookin for a bigger one a few hours later...isnt that how its supposed to be?

Thanks Andy...where the hell have you been? Ive been waitin for you to show up for a few months now. Maybe we can get together before the rut mellows out so i can turn you loose on one of my mammoths! I have seen so many mature deer this year so far it amazes me.

Come on....unless you are afraid...JK

Just wondering if anyone saw the softball sized tumor on the lower neck/breast area? It was external, between skin and hide and about the size of a softball. Weirdest thing...but I have heard of similar things with older mature deer.

I cut it out when caping him and felt how hard it was. Never even attached to the skin, just had grown into hide and attached by strands of fatty material.

Jeff,

Congrats on an awesome deer brother! Which property was this taken on? Anyway, I felt real bad for you when I heard your other bruiser was snagged by some other guy. Glad you were able to put down another nice one.

Good luck with the rest of the season.

Thanks Cory,

It was taken on the first piece that you met me. Where I have the two farm gates. It was all the way down to the creek and a few hundred yards towards the main road. When are you going to get a chance to join me for a hunt? Have you had any luck yet this year?
