Young bucks are chasing everything out my way, seen a small buck hound 3 does today, sure was exciting hearing those leaves and footsteps and not know what was coming.

I haven't seen anything my way either. I saw one deerthis morningall by its self. I wasn't close enough to even be able to tell what it was through the treesand it wouldn't come to any of my rattling or calling. I don't need a buck to come see me, I need a doe. Let's hope tomorrow is a better day. I did find a very fresh rubtoday, butI haven't seen any scrapes yet.

Rubs and scrapes like crazy. Very little daylight deer movement though. After this week, I think we'll start seeing some serious chasing.

I think it's starting to heat up. The bucks are certainly ready, pushing and shoving, dogging does, scrapes and rubs more openly. They are all just waiting on the does and it wouldn't suprise me to see or hear about early estrous does. Some have to be close but it certainly increasing daily. Right now ya'll should be in a tree as much as possible. Me, except a southern PA doe tag, I'm done in PA and can't wait to crawl into a IL treestand next Sunday.
