The Rut is ON!
 

Halloween night I was sitting in my stand and I heard a loud loud loud deep grunt on top of a hill. There I saw two does run out and then here came the biggest buck I have ever seen in a stand. It was chasing those does with its head down. I grunted with the M.A.D grunt snort wheeze call and the buck stopped with its head up trying to find what was there. I tried the wheeze part and that buck got interested. He came trotting towards me but then he decided to go back to the does.

That was the second coolest thing I have ever seen in myfour years of deer hunting.
The first would have been when I came across two of the biggest deer fighting for one doe.

Awesome. Cant wait to get in the stand this evening and tomorrow morning. Wouldn't you know it though- around here the rut kicks in and the temps go to 70.
