What to do?
I went out today and purchased new BH's. Since I was down to only one Rage I decided to go with fixed blade Muzzy's. I shot a few today and they fly like crap. Every shot was low and left and the farther away the worse it got! I know its not the right thing to do, changing in midseason, but I dont think Im going to hunt with the Muzzy's.
Tomorrow is opening day for Muzzleloader so I may put the bow up until I get the monster I have been chasing since August! I have him pinned down to about 3 acres. Then I may go back to bowhunting, but I will keep the one Rage I have on the arrow. Im kinda glad I didnt go with the Muzzy's to start with...for those that love them good for you! |

Have you ever paper tuned your bow?

RE: What to do?
ORIGINAL: Bbearfax Have you ever paper tuned your bow? I guess with some of the abuse it has taken during the season maybe it has taken its toll, but I can put a rage on and nail a bullseye at 40 yds all day long. Field points at 60. I will admit I have never shot a fixed BH until the Muzzy and never will again (a muzzy at least). I have shot NAP mechanicals and Rages with absolutely no problem other than the Rages opening in my quiver or bumping a branch. I guess each is his own, but my first impression wasnt good. I may try slicktricks or something else first and if I still have the same problem I will do the paper tune again. |
RE: What to do?
I shoot the Muzzy 3 blades out to 30(thats all I feel comfortable shooting in the woods) with no problem. I just start shooting at 5 yards and back up while adjusting my sights to adjust to the fixed blades. Within 20-25 minutes you will be dead on. The Muzzy 3 blades shoot almost identical to my G5 Montecs.
