Would I get bright red blood if it was a neck or brisket shot? Thanks again guy's for not all wanting to come over and square up and kick me in the balls.
You sure could get that color from there. Hey man, there's no reason for anyone on here to smack ya In the nuts!! This Is bow hunting and how It goes some times. Relax and get back out there and shoot yourself another deer If nothing comes about with this one.

Not necessarily. You could of caught the leg on the other side as well. Lots of things can happen. Where you think you see the arrow go Isn't always the case either. You positive It was In front of the shoulder?

No I'm not sure. He was actually circling around to the side I hit him in.

Did he duck the arrow and spin and that's why your arrow hit the other side? Or did he go to turn at the same time you were letting the arrow go?

No I mean after I hit him and started to track him he was circling to the side I arrowed him on. Sorry for not being clear.

Tough to say.

Bright red blood sounds like a lung shot and from what I understand, when a a deer "mule kicks" that typically means he's mortally wounded and will expire. I hope you have luck finding him, either on the hoof or piled up waiting for you to pose with him for pics to be posted here!

I have had deer "mule-kick" several times and without exception it has been a heart shot. It would definitely be worth your time to look further. Any tracking dogs in your area? Good luck.
