That sounds exactly like the buck my brother shot a couple of years ago. The deerhad a hard time walking and even went down a couple times but composed himself enough to walk out of sight.My brotherpulled out and went back in the morning and found him 20 yards from where he last saw him, double lunged.I'm sure your morning will go as well. Congrats and can't wait to see the pics!!

It all sounds good, but I personally feel that a 2hr wait from what you described would be just fine. Go with what you feel is right that away you will have no regrets.

coyotes start at the soft guts first has been my experience .... but yeah, sounds like a very hard hit animal

leaving him is always, ALWAYS better than jumping and losing him to rushing things
