Default Big thanks to gri22ly !

Just wanted to thank Josh (gri22ly) and his family for putting up with me for 2 days. He, his wife and son are all top notch people and made me feel right at home. It's not every day that people would take an almost perfect stranger into their home.

I didn't shoot at anything but Josh had me on deer both days. Yesterday morning I had the biggest buck I've ever seen from the stand at 20 yards. Unfortunately he was chasin two does that had come straight in to my tree and took a right turn behind some thick stuff. Had they made a left turn I may have been adding "first buck with a bow" pics

Had a great time none the less with a few firsts. First big buck from stand.First scrape( actually many scrapes), first buck chasin does.

Sorry for the long post but wanted to give gri22ly and his family a shout out. No bbd but I've made a new friend and hunting buddy. Doesn't get much better than that !

Shultzy, I just started hunting last year so the biggest buck I've seen from my stand may not be all that big to everyone else . By looking at the pics from the contest entries I'd guess 120 maybe. We may know for sure in a day or two...gri22ly was going to hunt that area some day this week.

Josh (Gri22) is the real deal. Probably more whitetail knowledge than he gets credit for. He's helped me learn topos more than anyone....and if I'm successful this year.....hedeserves a lot of the credit.
