Update! Shot a slick head tonight (no pics yet)

I finally think my luck is going to turn. I shot a nice slickhead tonight. 15 yard shot broadside shot. I aimed behind the shoulder about 3 inches. The sad part is the arrow is still in her. We tracked about 1 hour later and had great blodd, but with the rain and water in the leaves the blood dispersed, the blood was good and bright, I have no doubt that shes down. We backed out tonight and will be returning at first light. I will update you when i get to work tomorrow. Im sureTHIS one didnt cross the river.

Well I found the doe yesterday morning unfortunatley I was a bit too late. The yotes pretty much devoured her over nite. This is the first deer in years that we have lost to yotes. We have been seeing quite a few of them around this year which seems to be abnormal for our area untill december and january. So im thinking its time to hang up the bow for a bit, and start taking care of some yotes. Between 3 of us bow hunting our property, all 3 of us have seen yotes chasing deer throughout the property. Would you think it would be a good idea to try to get rid of these problematic yotes before gun season. We have already seen a decline in deer sightings and now we think we know why.

Shoot em all in my opinion. Every one Isee I will drop because of that reason. They populate fast, so they need to be kept under control.
