my dad dropped his as he was climbing. he had forgotted his rope and had to climb with his backpack on. his bow was in the pack and somehow fell out

I dropped mine this year and shot it the next day...It landed on the cam straight down and everything was fine

forgot my rope once, made the mistake of using some fishing line i had in my truck. not one of my brightest moves. line popped but it wasn't too far from the ground. everything was fine.

I've done the same thing, but i dropped my rope and had to drop the bow from the treestand...this was years ago. Funny thing, this past saturday i was getting ready to hoist my bow from the ground and soon as i picked it up, the rope that was hooked to my treestand came undone, it fell about a foot and i caught it....i couldn't believe it, I have cat like reflexes, about 2 hours later i missed a big buck :(

Guess we can't win em all!
