Id say not, wow that is a really nice deer. That is somehting like what I am after, a tall, symmetrical, amssive rack. Obviously though, unless I am dreamin, I gotta get the heck outtaNC [8D]

Wow very nice buck.

I hunted near Bellvue last year and saw a couple of nice ones but could never close the deal on a good one. I ended up shooting a smallish 7 point but he was my 1st and only whitetail so far. I'm still hoping I can get a decent one.

Congrats on an excellent one. I'm jealous. ;)

Im hunting the Beatrice area right now. The deer are showing signs of the rut - lots of scrapes and chasing, but we havent seen anything big from the stand yet. Tomorrow is our last day and were hoping that this cold front really gets them going in the morning!

Thanks guys. I am really happy with him. I had him scored this morning at the taxidermist and He makes 167 1/8 gross. I about sh*t when he handed me the sheet, cuz I was expecting low 150's. Here are a few more angles. I have more pics in the daylight but I'll upload them later.

I shot him in central Nebraska by Arnold. (40 miles Northeast of North Platte). I actually go to college in Lincoln and I can tell you that you have some studs down by beatrice. This buck wasn't doing too much as far as the rut goes. He slowly walked to me after using a doe estrous bleat. But he wasn't all that into it. His neck is completely normal size (no swelling). But I did see a mid 130's chase a doe and pretty much lock on her all the way to the trees. He had his nose up her but and they slowly walked 100 yards into the trees so he may have gotten lucky...
