This cracked me up.

(Heavy breathing) "Jason! I just shot a monster!!!"
My first thought is "Awesome!" But then I get slightly pissed cause he's in MY STAND! .
"How big?" I ask.
"Big." He says. "18" spread and 10" tines."

20 minutes later a 96" 8 pt. doe is laying in my front yard.

My guess is it developed a set of stones which are internal (out of view). The male hormones had to come from somewhere? Chance are she had hairy armpits as well. I dunno Gary, Maybe you should move or something...lol!

Pretty cool, thanks for sharing.

I wonder how that happens.....

We have so many does that some are asked to volunteer as bucks.

I have yet to see anything like that!!!!!! PT, I have no clue how they get like that, I would assume they get a couple gene's crossed somehow!!!!

Coolthat it's hard-horn. Most antlered does don't shed their velvet.

That's true as well ....our own BowHuntingFool saw a spike in velvet with a fawn fallowing it.... we both thought the same thing .... antlered doe .....

That's the second one posted this year, and supposedly it's something like 1 in 6,000 odds.

There's a "Deliverance" joke in the title of your thread somewhere; it's just been too long a day already for me to think of it! :D

I have a magazine I saved from 3-4+ years ago, buried at this point.

Anyway, it featured a man who shot a 17 point nontypical deer that after watching, believed to be a doe and singled it out for the season to see if he was right. Killed it in the late season, still in full velvet, the biologists said the deer DIDNT shed from year to year, the velvet rack remained. So he finally got a crack at the buck he believed to be a doe after watching it pee earlier in the year, he turned out right. It had a beastly rack (especially for a doe[8D]) somewhere around 130" i think. I could try and dig it up (thinking it was a NAW mag), but dont feel like sifting through 300+mags in the stack at this point.

Anyone else see this story?
