The thing is, he says this 8 point that was with him was better. Not as many points but MUCH longer tines and probably the same width. He was trying to shoot him when the 6 point must have seen him move and spooked the first two out. Almost immediately this stud walked through a hole at 25 yards.

He carries the handlebar mustache in honor of his old uncle the Cavalry dude. LOL Doug is tough as nails. He's been working pipe lines and the like for years.If you had to pick someone with no body fat it would be him. Get this, the land is owned by his X father-in-law. He loves Doug and hates his daughter went another way. Dougs second wife is a sweetie. Doug was still in the tree and realized what a problem he was going to have getting the deer out of this hell hole. HE called his wife in Indiana(25 miles from Oxford, Ohio where he was hunting) and told her, you better load up the Quad and bring it over here. She jumped to it and they had the deer out by 9:30 PM. They have horses and go off on ventures with their trailer and horses all the time. Even as big as he is, Doug was once into bull riding until he had a kid and decided a broken back wouldn't feed them.

The kid grew up in Cinninnati. He was a yuppie. HE went to Ohio State and majored in business. One Saturday his roommate, an ag major, said he had to go deliver a calf. Doug wanted to go see it. He'd never seen anything like that. They delivered 2 calfs that day. He came back and changed his major the next day to cattle management. HE did it for a while, managingsome big feed lots, but decided he needed more money than it would provide so moved on. He'd never hunted as a kid. He heard all my storys of bowhunting and bought a bow. The rest is history. He's a full fledged true bowhunter of his own merit.

He carries 3 arrows. He hit the deer the first time and it fumbled and stumbled and got behind some brush. He threw a second arrow at him but missed. The deer didn't go far.
