pre rut

anyone seeing any chasing going on yet? I hunted near goodrich MI yesterday and grunted in two decent bucks, coulda shot but passed it only gets better from here.

No chasing here in IL that I've seen, but I seen 2 bucks going at each others throats yesterday morning.

They haven't even started wandering here, seeking. Still only getting movement just before last light (if you're lucky). Latest I've seen an AM buck is 8:15. Earliest I've seen a PM buck is 6:15.

Front coming in, today....and temps dropping. If they're "close" to being ready to move around, some....maybe this will be the day.

Yep, been doing it for about 2 weeks here in central NC...

My buddy killed an 8 pointer yesterday, called him in witha doe estrus bleat and agressive grunting...
Shot him at 6:00 pm...

No chasing yet but observed two bucks in a pretty good brawl yesterday on my way to my blind.
