DO NOT give up! I have an are similiar to yours. I have rubs and beds all around me. There is not one tree that hasn't been marked up. Buck gold everywhere. I have yet to see a buck out of this stand. Just don't give up and continue to hunt it when the wind is right. You'll get him if your patient.

I have a strange feeling that instead of heading East out of the thicket, he went to the West and headed right for the winter wheat thats sprouted up.
There are a few guys here that have turned me onto a phrase I'd never heard before this year. A buck's "cycle". I'd hit some of the more proficient big buck hunters up on better explaining this. From what I understand.....they aren't exactly "patternable". An educated "guess" as to their "cycle", though? Happens all the time.......and some are better at it than others. I can imagine it taking WAY more scouting than that one sit to figure it out, though.
