I have thought about it but the idea of having exhaust fumes and other crap from the road soaked into my freshly open deer carcass kind of scares me. I am trying to talk the woman into letting me get a Toyota Tundra, but it's looking like maybe a Titan or an F-150.
wrap it with a tarp -- keeps dirt and debris off
+1, no problems for me when I've had to use one.

Dustin,
Congrats on the deer, now go get a "Hitch-n-Haul."

I don't think anyone will ever be mad at you for taking a buck, at least I hope not! Congrats on a nice deer!

Thanks for all of the compliments. I just got finished eating some grilled loins (yummy). By far the best part of the hunt for me is cutting out those inner loins and grilli'n em up that night. Yeah, turns out that my son is terrified of deer i guess, hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

Jasonlester i live up in the Forest Park area near Winton Woods.

Congratulations on the buck.

I am sure you were mostly kidding about Junior, but just in case you have any doubt, I promise you there is no correlation. My son has been around dead deer his entire life and it never scared him in the least. He is now 15 and has a minimal and I mean minimal interest in hunting.

I can usually get him out to hunt 1 day around thanksgiving when his only other option would be to sit around the house visiting with relatives. A great kid and I wouldn't change a thing about him as we do have other activities that we enjoy together, just not hunting.

But come to think of it, he does like to be around the gutting and the processing. Heck, maybe he'll wind up being a preacher, which is certainly ok with me.:)

Mine grew up around deer hunting and is pretty cool about the mess that comes with it. For her it's worth the mess because she loves venison so much. She rarely eats beef, but will tear up some venison.

I told her about how you guy's are surprised that she isn't upset about all of the blood in my truck. She said that whatever i want to do with my truck is my business, and that i better not even get a drop of blood on her new Civic. She also say's hello to all.
