Help with WEATHER?

I'm hunting here in KS and recently we have had a cold front move through bringing 40 degree temps, rain and 30 mph winds from the NW. There is a 70% chance of rain for this evenings hunt with 30 mph winds with gusts up 50. Tomorrow's weather for the evening hunt is still in 40's with 50% chance of showers and 15 mph winds from the NW. When would be the best day to hunt? How would the hunting be with such strong winds?

RE: Help with WEATHER?

I would play it by the hour and get out before the wind gets to be it's worst. Those deer feel that front and know what is coming and they will want to feed prior to the wind really hitting hard.I've killed deer in 25 mph wind, but rarely see them in anything stronger. Be sure you're strapped into your tree. [8D]Don't worry about the rain unless its a down-pour, but beextra careful with your shot placement cause you sure don't want to have to track in the rain.

RE: Help with WEATHER?

30-50 MPH winds will have those deer laid up in the thick stuff from my past experiences. But you just never know....so go tonight and tomorrow. But if you can only choose one day, I'd pick tomorrow hands down. Good Luck
