My dog isn't human, Tembry. She ate those shoulders (from the very small doe and the shoulder hit)up like they were .....well....they were delicasies. I'm pretty sure I said that in the post, though

You guys are REALLY reaching if you think you're going to deamonize me for not taking inner TL's on a few deer. Gonna have to try harder than that.
LOL. I quoted the whole post..it was the one sentence. Didn't know about the dog, or even the fact it was only the shoulder and not the whole deer like written.

No one is deamonizing you[&:], I just asked a question about why you didnt clean the deer. Now I know, it was only the shoulder and it was shot up, so the dog got it instead...no big deal. Cool, ive done the exact same on a shot up shoulder, 1/2 of it became pet food for my buddies dog.

Simple answer of the shoulder was shot up so I gave it to my dog would be alot easier than being all defensive and thinking one is out to get you.

Questions CAN be asked without an agenda behind them, I promise. I was just curious as to the circumstances...which I now know. jeesh.

Playing devils advocate here...does the ecosystem suffer if one does not remove the inner loins?
This is kind of confusing, the ecosystem wouldn't suffer if you passed the deer all together, or if you shot it and left it lay...I would think anyway.

Where were you going with this one? Sidenote, I dont care what meat people utilize, wont effect me. Just dont want to come across as arguementative.

I also shot a VERY small doe last year that I didn't prepare the shoulders for our use.I cooked them on my pig cooker and my dog had a feast, though.

GMMAT, what you do with YOUR deer is not my concern. In some states, noy utilizing the entire animal is against the law.(not sure exactly what is meant by the entire deer?)[&:]

Just to address the original post........yep, I know where the tenderloins are.

Unless I am donating the deer to a program like "hunters feeding the hungry", where I must pay to have the deer processed, I NEVER gut a deer. I personally do not eat the heart or liver, and I can get the loins out in less than a minute without the deer being gutted.

It is much faster, easier, and produces cleaner meat when you leave the chest cavity closed. I can`t think of a way to pull the heart-liver out without opening her wide though?[&:]

Tembry, not going anywhere. I am just trying to eliminate all other factors so as to figure out the reason why people would be mad at someone if they chose to leave the IL's still intact. What if that same person cut out the tongue and balls and ate them? Would that make up for the missing IL's? Just trying to see the root of the psychology as it interests me. Nothing more.

Side note...I used to be big into bass fishing. I remember walking through the woods one day, down to my spot at the river when I ran into a poaching operation. There must have been 15-20 deer down there that looked like they been just chopped up very quickly, and packaged up. It was absolutely sickening at the blatant waste. I've also found dead deer with only their backstraps cut out...now that pissed me off as well. I could not imagine doing that crap.

I am "guessing" that at least half of the outrage is really coming from the part where GMMAT said that he does not gut his deer.

I probably gutted around 200 of the critters before some reb from Louisianna showed me the right way to do it.

I was a little bit embarrassed that it took me so long to see the folly of my ways.[]

I quit reading when you changed who you were adressing to (went from Jack to Sparrow). Askedan honest simplequestion why without seeing the explanation. I asked an honest question yet you turned defensive...

But you are probably right, must be that darn agenda of mine trying to deamonize ole GMMAT down in NC again though.[&:]

Doesnt matter at this point, your dog ate well which I now know. Why make me look likethe bad guy when I just asked for details?

Oh cool, in my case and i imagine everyone elses...I was just shocked (because of how tasty they are) and curious why, not mad. I dont give a hoot.

I'd hightail it out of there once I stumbled onto a poachers outfit, id imagine they could get dangerous over being caught
